Steel and package oil separation unit manufactured for elimination of the oil in wastewater through physical methods.


Oil is accumulated on the surface of the unit because of its physical characteristic (oil's density is smaller than the water's). Oily water is passed through the oil trap tank by laminar current. During the flow, oil particles that have smaller density than water rise to the surface of the oil traps. The speed of the passing wastewater through the oil capture is the basic criterion during the determination of the dimensions of the unit. The dimensions of the reservoir are designed such that the oil in the wastewater is accumulated on the surface until leaving the oil trap. The oil accumulated on the unit is discharged from the system through the use of an adjustable sluiceway.
