The filter presses used for various objectives in many plants, such as treatment plants in which chemical and biological sludge formations are seen, ceramic, glass and marble industries, food processing sector etc., perform dewatering process under 6-14 bar and can dewater the sludge having solid material content at 2.5-7% of the total volume up to solid material content at 25-55% of the total volume

Process is as follows: sludge is conveyed between the two plates under high pressure, dilute part of the sludge is filtered through the filter clothes and solid particles are caught between the plates. It is possible to discharge and fill more than one equipment based on the characteristics of the sludge. After the filtration from the taps stops, filter press is stopped and cleaned and made ready for a new charge and by this way it can be operated several times in a day.
